Amman:Southern Ghor The Southern Ghor and Ghor Al-Mazra’a municipalities have entered into an agreement to establish and manage two standalone solar energy systems with a total capacity of 950 kilowatts (kW).
According to Jordan News Agency, this initiative is part of Phase II of the Sustainable Energy and Economic Development (SEED 2) Project, which is funded by Canada and executed in collaboration with Cowater International.
Under the agreement, Ghor Al-Mazra’a will be allocated a 380 kW capacity, while Southern Ghor municipality will receive 570 kW. The project aims to reduce electricity consumption costs and generate financial savings, enabling the municipalities to enhance public services and increase their reliance on renewable energy.
The municipalities expressed their gratitude to the supporting partners and international stakeholders for their contributions to the project’s implementation.
