PS Muthoni Urges Youths to Turn Up for Police, Military Recruitment

Nairobi: The youth have been urged to take advantage of the impending recruitment exercise by the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and the National Police Service. Public Health and Professional Standards PS Mary Muthoni, while acknowledging the high unemployment levels in the country, encouraged the young people to remain alert and seize opportunities whenever they arise.

According to Kenya News Agency, PS Muthoni emphasized the importance of participating in the upcoming recruitment, stating that young people should not be discouraged by the lack of connections and should come forward for possible consideration. Speaking in Ndia constituency, Kirinyaga county during an engagement with the clergy, she highlighted that the opportunities were available to every Kenyan regardless of gender, religion, or ethnic background, as long as they meet the necessary requirements and qualifications.

The PS further encouraged young people to become familiar with government recruitment systems and regularly check the Public Service Commission of Kenya (PSC) website for other job opportunities. She reassured potential applicants by stating, “Whether you are from Kirinyaga, Mombasa or anywhere else, you will not be turned away. You should go there and present your certificates and other testimonials and that is it.”
