PS Mbaika Urges Makueni Youth to Resist Political Manipulation

Makueni:The Principal Secretary of the State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development, Teresia Mbaika, has issued a stern warning to the youth of Makueni County against allowing themselves to be manipulated by politicians for disruptive purposes. During a public meeting in Kyuasini Market, Makueni Subcounty, Mbaika emphasized the importance of tolerance and urged the youth to reject roles as political goons used to disrupt opponents’ gatherings.

According to Kenya News Agency, Mbaika appealed to politicians to focus on initiatives that improve educational access and create opportunities for youth, thereby uplifting their lives and combating poverty. She highlighted the need for politicians to support development initiatives rather than resort to unorthodox methods for political gain.

During the public engagement, Mbaika outlined several key development projects facilitated by the national government, such as the tarmacking of the Kyambeke-Kyuasini-Ukia road and the allocation of land for educational infrastructure, including a tuition block and hostels at the Kilungu Kenya Medical Training College. She praised the support from President William Ruto in these initiatives.

Mbaika also expressed her political ambitions, announcing her intention to run for the Kaiti Member of the National Assembly seat in the upcoming elections on August 10, 2027. She committed to advocating for inclusive development and creating better opportunities for residents of Kaiti Constituency.
