Narok: Police in Narok county are investigating an incident where a woman is alleged to have been assaulted by a police officer while on a mission to reclaim her motorbike in Naroosura area in Narok South Sub-County. The woman reported the incident, alleging that the officer undressed and assaulted her in her private parts in full view of onlookers.

According to Kenya News Agency, the woman claimed that her neighbors and children rushed her to the hospital where she was treated and later discharged. Disgusting photos showing her injuries have been circulating on social media, prompting public demands for the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) and human rights groups to intervene and ensure justice for the victim.

Narok county police commander Riko Ngare stated that initial investigations suggest the incident may have stemmed from a love triangle involving the woman and another woman over a man. Ngare, who visited the Naroosura area, is leading the investigation and has promised to provide a credible report on the events of the day soon.
