Meru: The newly sworn-in Meru Governor Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’Ethingia has promised the county executive members that there will be a smooth transition without victimization when their time to exit comes. During his first day in office after the swearing-in ceremony Monday, Mutuma held a meeting with County Executive Committee Members (CECs), Chief Officers (CO), Chief Executive Officers, and directors from various Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) to chart the way forward for the new regime.

According to Kenya News Agency, Mutuma emphasized the importance of unity and healing among the county staff, highlighting the need to address the challenges faced in a difficult working environment. He assured the staff that there would be no harassment or ill feelings, regardless of their previous political affiliations, and that transitions would be conducted with dignity and in accordance with constitutional guidelines.

Mutuma also acknowledged the contributions of the staff during their tenure and stressed the significance of moving forward with the county’s priority agenda, focusing on the welfare of county workers and delivering development and services to the people of Meru. He reiterated his commitment to serving the community and transforming lives, putting the needs of the people first.
