Kajiado: In a bid to strengthen service delivery to the people of Kajiado, the county government has appointed and sworn in three new chief officers. The new officers were sworn into office by County Attorney Agustin Sekeyian and the Kajiado Law Courts Presiding Magistrate Jane Kamau, in the presence of Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and his deputy Martin Moshisho.

According to Kenya News Agency, the new appointees are Isaac Mnaani Mayio, who will serve as Chief Officer for Cooperatives; Makarios Lesianka Tuukuo for Agriculture and Fisheries; and Felix Parsaoti Muneria for Urban Development and Municipalities. Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony, the governor urged the newly appointed officers to work closely with their respective departments to deliver on the county’s development agenda.

Governor Lenku emphasized that his development agenda for Kajiado is divided into four categories, with modulated pastoralism and livable towns falling squarely within the dockets of the new officers. He expressed full confidence in their capabilities and commitment to serve the people with integrity, diligence, and innovation.

Deputy Governor Moshisho commended the governor for incorporating young professionals into his administration, urging the appointees to serve diligently and not take the opportunity for granted. Meanwhile, County Secretary Leina Mpoke reminded the new officers that their roles are well defined and called on them to adhere to the code of conduct while maintaining professionalism in their service delivery.
