Woman Accused of Killing Husband Awaits Bond Decision in Narok Court

Narok:A court in Narok has mandated a social inquiry report to assess whether Judith Adhiambo, accused of murdering her husband, should be granted bond. The report is expected to be submitted by October 23, during which time Adhiambo will stay in custody.

According to Kenya News Agency, High Court Judge Justice Charles Kariuki directed this decision while presiding over the case. Adhiambo is accused of striking her husband, John Wainaina, with a blunt object on September 27, 2026, in the Father Ntaiya area of Narok Central Sub-County, following a domestic dispute. She has denied the charges.

Defense lawyer Jepher Kere argued for Adhiambo’s release on bond, highlighting her role as a mother to young children and her cooperation with investigators since her arrest two weeks prior. Kere emphasized that she should be considered innocent until proven guilty.

The prosecution, led by Gitonga Murang’a, opposed the bond, citing potential interference with witnesses, including a minor, and concerns about the crime scene being the accused’s home. They warned that her release could escalate tensions between the families involved and impact the investigation.

Adhiambo has remained in custody due to a miscellaneous application by the prosecution as they continue their investigation into the alleged murder.
