Siaya: Turkana County has opened this year’s KICOSCA games in Siaya with a strong early performance across multiple disciplines. The county team, including basketball (men and women), men’s pool, and darts, arrived confident and determined to build on last year’s results.
According to Kenya News Agency, the men’s basketball team, defending their championship title, started with a high-energy 46-42 win over the hosts, Siaya County, in their Pool A opener. The women’s team dominated their Pool D opener, defeating Embu 45-6.
In other events, the men’s pool team, placed in Group B, is eyeing an improvement on last year’s third-place finish as they open against Kisii County. The darts team, competing in Pool D, is gearing up for a challenging first match against Murang’a.
With strong starts and high expectations, the Turkana County team looks poised for another standout showing at the 2025 KICOSCA Games.
