Nakuru:A 47-year-old truck driver, Peter Mwaniki, has won the Sh102 million SportPesa Mega Jackpot after accurately predicting the outcomes of all 15 matches in the latest 15/15 jackpot draw held last Sunday.
According to Kenya News Agency, Mwaniki, who hails from Nakuru County, has spent nearly two decades working long hours behind the wheel of a truck, traveling across different routes to provide for his family. He becomes the first person this year to win the SportPesa Mega Jackpot, marking a major turning point in his life.
Mwaniki did not initially realize he had won the jackpot. He only learned of his victory after SportPesa contacted him, informing him that he had correctly predicted all 15 match results, securing one of the country’s biggest jackpot prizes this year. He expressed his gratitude, stating the Sh102 million windfall would allow his family to improve their lives, secure their children’s future, and make long-term financial plans.
Despite the life-changing win, Mwaniki said he would not rush into making major financial decisions and plans to maintain his normal routine as he considers how to best use his newfound fortune. He intends to continue with his day-to-day job for at least the next five months while considering his next course of action.
SportPesa Head of Marketing Esther Kange’the highlighted the significance of the Mega Jackpot and the excitement surrounding the moment when a winner emerges. She noted that Mwaniki’s story is particularly special, as it reflects the years he spent working to provide for his family. The Mega Jackpot continues to be one of the company’s flagship products, and it is always significant when a participant correctly predicts all results and claims the top prize.
Mwaniki was unveiled alongside Caroline Nyakundi and Gaudencia Sella, who won Sh2.19 and Sh3.5 million, respectively, in Mega Jackpot bonuses. His win adds a new chapter to the SportPesa Mega Jackpot, one of the country’s most followed football prediction competitions.
