Nairobi: Hamisi Member of Parliament, Charles Gimose, has announced the upgrading of the roads network within Kaimosi Municipality in Vihiga County to spur economic growth. Gimose revealed that he recently held an extensive consultative meeting with stakeholders including the Director General for Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), Eng. Silas Kinoti following which an estimated Sh1.8 billion was allocated to his constituency to support the upgrading of the roads’ networks within Kaimosi Municipality.
According to Kenya News Agency, the funds would facilitate the municipality’s growth through the tarmacking of key roads. Gimose emphasized that the improved roads would enhance the movement of residents including traders and students, besides interconnecting various institutions within the Municipality.
Gimose expressed gratitude to all the leaders, stakeholders, and residents who supported the vision of upgrading Kaimosi to a municipal town. He noted that it is due to their unwavering support and dedication t
hat such a milestone has been achieved.
He reiterated that as a Member of Parliament, he remains committed to working closely with the National Government and all relevant agencies to ensure that Kaimosi Municipality becomes a model of good planning, development, investment, and prosperity. Gimose promised to continue championing meaningful progress that transforms lives and creates a brighter future for the people.
