Sabatia: The Sabatia National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) has disbursed Sh25 million to secondary school students in the constituency. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure equitable access to education for all learners in the area.
According to Kenya News Agency, the announcement was made during a cheque awarding ceremony at Chandumba Secondary School in West Sabatia ward. Area Member of Parliament (MP) Clement Sloya emphasized that the bursary program aims to support learners from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, acknowledging education as a societal equalizer.
Sloya highlighted that the bursary allocation prioritizes needy and vulnerable students, demonstrating the constituency’s commitment to inclusive education and reducing financial obstacles to academic success. He also noted that continued collaboration between political leaders, educational institutions, and the community is expected to positively impact thousands of learners within the constituency.
