Vihiga:Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi inspected the ongoing construction of the Kenya School of Government (KSG) campus at Boyani in Vihiga County on Saturday. The project is projected to be completed by July 2027.
According to Kenya News Agency, Mudavadi was accompanied by several officials, including Principal Secretary for Public Service and Human Capital Development Professor Jane Kere Imbunya, Vihiga Woman Representative Beatrice Adagala, Hamisi Member of Parliament Charles Gimose, and Vihiga Member of Parliament Ernest Kagesi. The visit aimed to assess the project’s progress.
The new institution is expected to enhance public service training and capacity building by providing a dedicated facility for government officers to improve their professional skills. This expansion is anticipated to boost local development through increased economic activity and demand for local goods and services both during and after construction.
Upon completion, the Boyani campus will facilitate better access to public service training for government officers from Vihiga and surrounding counties, minimizing the need for them to travel to distant training centers.
The Kenya School of Government is instrumental in developing the knowledge, skills, and leadership competencies of public servants, thereby enhancing efficiency, accountability, and service delivery within government institutions. The ongoing construction represents a significant advancement in expanding the institution’s training infrastructure and bolstering human resource development in the public sector.
