Bungoma: Bungoma County Governor Kenneth Lusaka today sent his message of condolences to the Catholic church fraternity and the entire people of Kakamega in mourning the passing of Retired Bishop Philip Sulumeti.
According to Kenya News Agency, Lusaka described the late Sulumeti as a true shepherd of God’s sheep, a man of deep faith graced with humility and service to mankind. Lusaka said that Bishop Sulumeti dedicated his life to nurturing souls, promoting education, and fostering peace and unity across the western Kenya region.
He noted that Sulumeti’s legacy of compassion and unwavering devotion to God will continue to inspire generations. Lusaka expressed his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people of Bungoma and his family to the Catholic Church and the entire Sulumeti family.
Lusaka prayed for the church and Sulumeti family, hoping they may find the fortitude to bear the loss of a spiritual father, and asked God to rest the gentle soul of the servant leader in eternal peace.
