Nairobi: The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Women’s Volleyball Team, known as ‘The Oilers,’ has commenced the Kenya Volleyball Federation National League with two victories at Nyayo National Stadium.
According to Kenya News Agency, KPC showcased their intent following continental play in Cairo, where they secured third place in the CAVB championship. The Oilers dominated their opening match against the KDF team, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 27-24, and 28-26.
In their second match, KPC maintained the same momentum, overcoming Postbank with a 3-1 victory. Although Postbank won the first set, KPC displayed resilience by clinching the final set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 25-16, and 25-19.
These consecutive wins highlight KPC’s preparedness for the season and reflect their ability to perform under pressure. The team’s recent continental experience has added value, as demonstrated by their teamwork and composure in domestic league play.
The Oilers’ successful start sets an optimistic tone for their upcoming matches as they aim for success in the KVF National League.
