Golfers Gear Up for NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale at Muthaiga

Nairobi: All is set for the 2025 NCBA Golf Series Grand Finale tomorrow, Friday, November 28, at the par 72 Muthaiga Golf Club, marking the culmination of the fifth edition of the series. The event will bring together 250 golfers, with 90 participants emerging from qualifiers held across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda, competing for top honors in the overall, men’s, ladies’, and junior categories.

According to Kenya News Agency, the overall winner in both the men’s and women’s categories will each receive Sh130,000. Additionally, golfers will have the opportunity to win a JCB Backhoe Loader, courtesy of JCB Ganatra, for a hole-in-one at the par 3 hole number 13. Since the series began in January at the Kenya Railway Golf Club, over 5,102 golfers have participated in the 40 tournaments held across the region.

VetLab’s Mary Karano will be making her third appearance at the Grand Finale, maintaining a consistent presence in the previous two editions. Speaking ahead of the finale, NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora highlighted the success of this year’s series, which has expanded to include Rwanda. Gachora emphasized the impact the series has had on golfers and others involved, noting efforts to engage with most clubs through various events.

Gachora assured that preparations at Muthaiga are complete to ensure a successful finale. He reiterated NCBA’s commitment to supporting golf in Kenya and expressed anticipation for hosting the golfers on Friday. This marks the third time Muthaiga will host the grand finale since 2021, with previous finales held at Karen Country Club and Sigona Golf Club.
