Ouagadougou: The day after the defeat of the Etalons A’ against the Mourabitounes A’ of Mauritania (0-1), the president of the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) Oumarou Sawadogo went to the players’ hotel to encourage them to remobilize for the rest of the CHAN. According to Burkina Information Agency, Oumarou Sawadogo, the head of the Burkinabe football federation, emphasized that while he was not there to congratulate the team, whose objective was not met, he was there to motivate them to rise again and prepare for the upcoming challenges. “I’m not here to congratulate you because our objective was completely different. But I’m here to encourage you to get back up and remobilize for what’s next,” Sawadogo stated.

Following the president’s visit, the Burkinabe team departed for Zanzibar, where they are set to face the Bar©as of Madagascar on Saturday, August 16, in one of the concluding matches of Group B.
