Aseka Commends Last Mile Power Project In Kisa West

Khwisero: Khwisero MP Christopher Aseka has commended the ongoing Last Mile Electricity Connectivity programme in Kisa West Ward, highlighting that the delivery of power poles will enable more households to gain access to electricity.

According to Kenya News Agency, Aseka emphasized that the project would enhance economic activities and improve living standards among residents of Inyanya Village, Muhaka Sub-location. The MP made these remarks on Tuesday during an inspection tour of National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) projects in the area.

Aseka noted the critical role of electricity in rural development, stating that households, businesses, and students would benefit significantly once the connections are completed. “We are committed to ensuring that our people have access to electricity because power is no longer a luxury but a basic requirement for development. The delivery of these poles is an important step towards connecting more households,” Aseka stated.

He urged residents to support the project’s implementation and collaborate with relevant government agencies to ensure that the connections are completed on schedule. Aseka further explained that the inspection tour aimed to assess the progress of NG-CDF projects and identify areas requiring intervention to ensure they deliver value to residents.
