Bomet: The Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet Football Club has received a major financial boost after signing a Sh5.5 million sponsorship deal with betting company White Rabbit (WR) Bet. The five-month partnership will help the Bomet County-based National Super League (NSL) side in its push for promotion to the top-tier Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League.
According to Kenya News Agency, WR Bet officials, including Regional Director Vadim Daianov, Chief Operations Officer Humphrey Alumasa, and Head of Supervision Department Grayson Marwa, confirmed that APS Bomet FC is the only NSL team the company is sponsoring in the Rift Valley region. Marwa stated that WR Bet will be present at Bomet IAAF Stadium on Sunday to witness the team play, meet fans, and register them on their platform, offering merchandise and goodies for the club and its supporters.
Marwa encouraged local supporters to turn up in large numbers and cheer on their team as they fight for promotion to the FKF Premier League. He also revealed that APS Bomet FC fans would receive a special promo code when registering on the WR Bet platform, ensuring that their support directly benefits the club. Additionally, he mentioned the company’s intent to explore community projects in Bomet and the Rift Valley as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
Vadim Daianov assured fans of WR Bet’s continued support, stating that company officials would attend APS Bomet FC’s next home match. He expressed hope for the team’s success in their remaining matches, urging fans to show their support by attending in large numbers.
The sponsorship comes as a significant relief for APS Bomet FC, a team that has been relying on well-wishers for funding and operations. Club CEO, Chief Inspector of Police Rose Chemutai, expressed gratitude for the sponsorship and highlighted the importance of fan support. She emphasized that the league currently lacks an official sponsor, making this support timely and crucial for the team.
APS Bomet FC is currently second in the NSL standings with 50 points, trailing Nairobi United by one point. They are set to face Fortune Sacco FC, positioned seventh with 34 points, in a crucial league match on Sunday. With the new sponsorship, APS Bomet FC is poised to enhance its financial stability, improve players’ welfare, and remain competitive in their quest for promotion.
The team CEO urged fans and residents of Bomet to attend the match in large numbers to support their team in its pursuit of top-flight football.
