Amman:The first conference of the Arab Worldwide Freight Alliance (AWFA) will take place in Amman on Wednesday, gathering representatives from 100 shipping and logistics companies across 18 Arab countries.
According to Jordan News Agency, the event aims to provide a platform for companies in shipping, customs clearance, and logistics to explore new business opportunities and strengthen regional cooperation. AWFA President Awdah Ramahi emphasized the importance of this conference in fostering collaboration across the sector.
A significant highlight of the conference will be the launch of the first Jordanian-Arab platform dedicated to connecting companies and institutions within the logistics sector. This initiative seeks to facilitate partnerships and build a more integrated Arab transport and logistics network.
The conference agenda includes discussions on the Economic Modernization Vision, enhancing Jordan’s position as a logistics hub, the future of Arab supply chains, and how to transform current challenges into opportunities. Additionally, it will address the role of Arab women in logistics, and participants will engage in business-to-business meetings to develop commercial ties and explore potential partnerships.
Ramahi noted that the new platform is designed to unite various players in the logistics industry under a single network, offering member companies the chance to exchange expertise, develop commercial partnerships, and expand into new markets. The platform is also expected to improve logistics operations and services by connecting companies through an integrated Arab and international network.
The AWFA’s goal is to establish a robust Arab network that enables member companies to access new markets and business opportunities, deepen cooperation, and contribute to a more connected and integrated future for the region’s logistics sector.
