Eldoret:Uasin Gishu County is hosting a week-long series of tourism events, culminating in the celebration of UN World Tourism Day on September 27 at the University of Eldoret. This announcement was made by Dr. Philip Chebunet, County Executive Committee Member for Trade, Industrialisation, Tourism, and Cooperatives.
According to Kenya News Agency, Dr. Chebunet stated that the county is ready to welcome stakeholders, communities, industry players, students, and tourism enthusiasts to the events.
The week will feature a variety of activities aimed at celebrating the power and potential of tourism. The theme for UN World Tourism Day is focused on the Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence in Tourism.
Eldoret, known as the City of Champions, will use this opportunity to showcase its tourism potential, hospitality, culture, innovation, and investment opportunities.
