Addis Ababa: Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed along with higher government officials inaugurated the newly developed Wanchi-Dandi Ecotourism Village today.
African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, and Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu and members of the diplomatic corps were also attended the inauguration ceremony.
Wanchi-Dandi Ecotourism Village is the third destination developed through Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s ‘Dine for Nation’ initiative.
Twitted on his official account earlier today Abiy said ‘Wanchi-Dandi Eco-Tourism Village and Lodge-an awe inspiring destination with community at heart.’
It is to be recalled that PM Abiy Ahmed launched the Dine for Nation initiative in 2021 to develop three new world-class tourist sites in different regions of the country.
Dine for Nation is part of the national project initiated by the premier in a bid to develop friendly tourist destinations.
