According to Kenya News Agency, the memorial service allowed locals who missed the burial ceremony to honor the late opposition leader, remembered for his role in shaping the country’s democracy and devolution. Several political figures, including Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, and Migori Governor Ochillo Ayacko, attended the event, alongside leaders from Homa Bay, Kisumu, and Migori.
