Nyamira Officials Emphasize Adherence to KNEC Examination Guidelines

Nyamira:Benson Laprmorijo, the County Commissioner of Nyamira, has called on all personnel involved in administering assessments and examinations to strictly follow the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) guidelines.

According to Kenya News Agency, Laprmorijo addressed school principals, heads of institutions, and supervisors in preparation for the upcoming national assessments and examinations for grade 6 and 9 learners, as well as form four candidates. He emphasized the importance of adhering to the guidelines to maintain the credibility and integrity of the examination process in Nyamira County.

Laprmorijo highlighted the sensitivity of administering examinations and stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure the process is conducted with integrity to produce credible results. He urged against allowing any form of malpractice or illegality in examination centers, insisting on maintaining a quiet and conducive environment for students.

Florence Obunga, the Nyamira South Sub County Deputy County Commissioner, reminded center managers to be punctual when collecting examination materials to ensure timely distribution to candidates. She also instructed that all mobile phones within the school compound be locked away to prevent non-compliance or any suspicion of malpractice.

Obunga assured that security measures would be in place throughout the examination period to protect those involved from any undue pressure. Laprmorijo also assured examination center managers of respectful treatment, ensuring no harassment or mishandling occurs when KNEC officials visit schools to monitor progress.

Laprmorijo extended well wishes to all participants in the examination process, hoping for good health and sobriety, and wished the candidates success in their examinations.
