Mombasa: A 47-year-old man was on Wednesday arraigned in a Mombasa court facing charges of defiling a 14-year-old minor. The suspect, Malau Ahmed Malau, allegedly defiled the girl on April 28, 2025, at Mwijabu Mosque in the Marikiti area of Mvita Sub-County.
According to Kenya News Agency, the suspect, who pleaded not guilty before Senior Resident Magistrate David Odhiambo, was released on a Sh500,000 bond with one surety of a similar amount. The court directed that the case be mentioned on May 27, 2025.
