Ouagadougou: Lassan© Ou©draogo was officially installed as the Regional Director of Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity for the Goulmou region, succeeding Jean-Paul Ou©draogo. The installation ceremony took place under the leadership of Siaka Ouattara, Secretary General of the Gulmu region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony marked the beginning of a new phase in managing humanitarian efforts in a region plagued by a prolonged security and humanitarian crisis. Lassan© Ou©draogo emphasized the pressing challenges posed by the humanitarian situation and expressed his commitment to improving coordination among various stakeholders.

Lassan© Ou©draogo stated that addressing current issues requires a collaborative approach, involving regional authorities, civil society, and state services. His predecessor, Jean-Paul Ou©draogo, served from May 2, 2024, to August 4, 2025, and achieved significant milestones, such as training 200 women in weaving and dyeing, caring for over 517 unaccompanied children, and providing assistance to over 200 girls affected by gender-based violence. Additionally, more than 6,000 elderly individuals received psychosocial support during his tenure.

The Goulmou regional management was ranked 5th nationally in governance, efficiency, and activity completion in 2024. Siaka Ouattara commended the accomplishments of the outgoing director and extended his congratulations to Lassan© Ou©draogo, pledging the support of the regional administration. He encouraged the new director to foster teamwork, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are essential for achieving success.
