According to Kenya News Agency, the victory for Kitondo School from Makueni County served as a sweet revenge after their earlier defeat to All Saints, who were the defending champions in the Eastern Region. When we met again in the finals, I told the boys that no team should defeat us twice. They heeded my advice and played hard and that is how we won the game,” Satia said during a media address at Makueni Boys High School, the venue for the Eastern Region Ball Games.
Satia also credited the school administration for their unwavering support, highlighting the players’ dedication to training during holidays and mid-term breaks. “Our principal has always supported the rugby team to remain in school, especially during holidays and midterm breaks to continue training. This commitment has brought us this far,” he added.
