Kericho: A Kericho farmer, Richard Kimutai Ngetich, has won Sh26.9 million in the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot after he correctly predicted all 13 matches.
According to Kenya News Agency, Ngetich took home Sh26,987,606 in the latest jackpot win, describing the unexpected windfall as the fulfillment of a long-held belief that his persistence would eventually pay off. The Kericho resident stated he had been playing the SportPesa Jackpot for some time, convinced that his efforts would one day bear fruit.
Richard Kimutai Ngetich, a Kericho farmer, proudly displayed his SportPesa Midweek Jackpot winnings of Sh26.9 million, which he plans to invest in his family home and farming activities. “I have been playing the SportPesa Jackpot for some time, and I always believed that, one day, God would make the big win happen,” Ngetich said.
Ngetich placed four bets-three through Quick Pick and one based on his own analysis. It was the carefully analyzed bet that eventually landed him the jackpot. “I placed four bets, three through Quick Pick and one that I had carefully analysed. Luckily, I won from the one I had analyzed,” he added.
He mentioned that he placed the winning bet on Friday but did not check his phone until Sunday. Upon logging into his SportPesa account, he was stunned by the balance displayed. “I could not believe it was my account. I did not even believe I had won until SportPesa called me,” Ngetich said.
The farmer now plans to use the winnings to secure a better future for his family, prioritizing building a family home, expanding his farming activities, and ensuring his children have decent housing.
