Jordan Engages in Arab Federation of Capital Markets Conference

Abu Dhabi:Jordan participated in the 2026 Annual Conference of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX).

According to Jordan News Agency, the two-day event brought together more than 600 participants and 50 speakers, including CEOs and senior executives from over 25 stock exchanges and clearing houses. The conference aimed to address the future of Arab capital markets, focusing on market integration, interconnection, and the sector’s rapid technological transformation.

A bell-ringing ceremony at the ADX officially launched the conference, attended by CEOs of regional capital markets and members of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets.

Mazen Wathaifi, CEO of the Amman Stock Exchange, highlighted that discussions centered on how Arab capital markets can respond to current regional conditions, tackle potential crises, and enhance collective cooperation and coordination. Participants also explored new financial and investment products, artificial intelligence applications, market interconnection, investment funds, and strategies to revitalize markets and boost liquidity.

The conference agenda covered topics such as capital market modernization, digital transformation, financial market infrastructure, energy trading, market making, derivatives, exchange-traded funds, and AI applications. Attendees included representatives from regulatory bodies, policymakers, institutional investors, listed companies, investment banks, and market infrastructure providers.

The first day featured a ceremony honoring the top-performing Arab stock exchanges of the year and highlighted the performance of indices across Arab markets.
