Amagoro: The government has assured Kenyans of its unwavering commitment to ensuring equitable development across the country and addressing historical marginalization. Speaking at Amagoro Comprehensive School during a thanksgiving service for ACK Diocese of Katakwa Bishop Dr. Vitalis Job Ekuru, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei emphasized the ongoing implementation of President William Ruto’s directive on equitable development by relevant government officers.
According to Kenya News Agency, Felix Koskei highlighted the progress being made in infrastructure development, including the construction of roads and markets, with projects being carried out concurrently in various parts of the country. He assured that the government is dedicated to ensuring the country’s progress through these initiatives.
Koskei encouraged Kenyans to have confidence in the government’s programs and to actively participate in supporting the country’s economic transformation. He emphasized the importance of hard work in farms, businesses, and other economic activities as a means to contribute to the nation’s growth.
The government is also supporting farmers with subsidized fertilizer and improved market access, urging them to leverage these interventions to boost food production and income generation. Koskei advised traders, including boda boda riders, to work diligently to ensure economic prosperity.
Furthermore, Koskei mentioned the government’s plans to establish long-term development priorities through a national conversation on Kenya beyond 2030. This initiative will allow Kenyans to assess the progress made under the existing development strategy and outline the future direction of the country.
Koskei stated that this exercise would give Kenyans the opportunity to propose priorities for the long-term development agenda aimed at accelerating economic transformation. He emphasized the importance of involving young people in this conversation, as they are the future drivers of the country’s development and will play a crucial role in implementing the proposed agenda.
