Felix Koskei Advocates for Peaceful Politics and Development-Focused Leadership

Tinderet:Head of Public Service and Chief of Staff, Felix Koskei, urged citizens to engage in peaceful and issue-based politics during a funeral in Romorio village, Chepkemel Location, Tinderet Sub County. He emphasized that political competition should foster unity and not divide communities or hinder the country’s development.

According to Kenya News Agency, Koskei highlighted the importance of focusing on key issues affecting citizens, such as education, healthcare, employment, infrastructure, and economic empowerment. He called for unity and peaceful coexistence, especially during politically active periods.

Koskei challenged leaders to use politics as a platform for presenting development ideas rather than engaging in divisive rhetoric. He stressed the importance of community participation in government programs to improve livelihoods, create employment opportunities, and empower vulnerable groups.

He also emphasized education as a transformative tool for young people, urging parents and community lea
ders to support children’s schooling to enable meaningful economic participation. Koskei called for accountability and efficient service delivery in public resource use.

Tiaty MP William Kamket, also present, encouraged approaching politics with maturity and avoiding divisions. He emphasized evaluating leaders on their ability to address economic and social challenges and called for investments in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and youth employment.

Kamket stressed the need for policies providing relevant skills and opportunities for youth entrepreneurship and sustainable income. He warned against divisive political tactics and urged choosing leaders based on ideas and commitment to development.

Both leaders encouraged safeguarding values of unity, mutual respect, and community responsibility, honoring the legacy of respected elders. The funeral of Mama Hellen Serio, 92, was attended by family, friends, community, and political leaders who celebrated her contributions.
