Education, ICT and Community Development Funding Announced for Emuhaya Constituency

Emuhaya: Emuhaya Constituency NG-CDF has allocated millions of shillings towards education, digital empowerment, infrastructure, and community development projects across the constituency. Area MP Omboko Milemba disclosed this during a development tour of the constituency.

According to Kenya News Agency, Milemba issued a Sh1.55 million cheque to Emwatsi Primary School in West Bunyore Ward for classroom renovation, sanitation improvement, and environmental conservation projects. The funds include Sh1.05 million for renovating three classrooms, Sh400,000 for constructing a four-door emergency latrine, and Sh100,000 for tree-planting activities.

The MP also announced the maintenance of the Noah-Kwakha-Samaritan Road, plans to deploy additional security personnel to address insecurity, and the connection of Mumbiga, Mwita, and Ebuyalu villages to electricity through the Matching Funds Programme.

At Hobuyaya Administrative Centre in Central Bunyore Ward, Milemba handed over Sh5 million towards the construction of an ICT hub aimed at equipping young people with digital skills, internet access, and opportunities for online employment. He urged government officers to work closely with leaders and residents to improve service delivery.

At Emusire Primary School, the legislator issued Sh2.2 million, comprising Sh1.4 million for classroom renovation, Sh400,000 for latrines, and Sh400,000 for fencing and the construction of a school gate. He further pledged to provide sports jerseys and funds for additional classrooms in future allocations.

Meanwhile, at Kilingili Senior School, Milemba issued Sh1.5 million for the construction of a modern administration block. The MP, who taught at the institution in 1991, commended the school’s management and teachers for their commitment to academic excellence and discipline. He directed his office to prioritize the acquisition of a school bus and pledged to support the school’s request for computers through the National Assembly Education Committee.

At Kilingili Primary School, Milemba handed over Sh700,000 for classroom renovations. He also reaffirmed his commitment to fast-track stalled electricity connection projects in Emakale and Mulukamu villages.

Residents and education stakeholders welcomed the initiatives, expressing optimism that the investments will improve learning conditions, create job opportunities for youth, and accelerate development across Emuhaya Constituency.
