Narok:Narok Central Deputy County Commissioner Kennedy Mwang’ome has called on Kenyans to uphold peace, foster national unity, and reject tribal politics as the country approaches the 2027 General Election. He emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence and national cohesion, urging citizens to shun ethnic divisions.
According to Kenya News Agency, Mr. Mwang’ome highlighted Kenya’s relative peace and stability compared to its neighboring countries, which face political instability and economic challenges. He stressed the need for citizens to appreciate these blessings and continue praying for the country’s welfare.
The Deputy Commissioner warned political leaders against promoting ethnic divisions, cautioning that such actions could undermine national unity. He encouraged leaders to focus on fostering unity and avoiding divisive rhetoric that could lead to conflict. Using Narok as an example, he pointed out how communities from different ethnic backgrounds can coexist peacefully.
Elder Mzee Paul Naeku echoed these sentiments, urging Kenyans to consider the impact of their actions on the country’s peace and unity. He stressed the importance of patriotism over personal ambitions, noting that the younger generation is learning from the current leaders and will eventually take over the country’s leadership.
