CS Dualle Visits Garissa for Project Inspections

Garissa:Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale recently visited Garissa County to inspect ongoing development projects, emphasizing the Kenya Kwanza government’s dedication to enhancing the livelihoods of citizens nationwide.

According to Kenya News Agency, Duale highlighted the importance of collective responsibility within the government to accelerate projects and programs under the Bottoms-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

During his visit, Duale reviewed the Garissa Township Affordable Housing project, which aims to deliver 407 housing units. Of these, 70 percent are completed and are expected to be commissioned by President Dr. William Ruto in December. This development is set to provide dignified and affordable housing for the residents of Garissa Township.

Additionally, Duale inspected the newly completed 150-meter Garissa-Tana River Bridge, constructed at a cost of Sh1.8 billion. This bridge, located along the Ukasi-Garissa-Modika corridor, replaces an older structure that had served the region for 43 years. It is designed to be flood-resistant, thereby resolving a long-standing bottleneck and enhancing safety, connectivity, and movement to North Eastern Kenya.

These projects reflect the government’s commitment to inclusive development, ensuring improved infrastructure, better housing, and increased growth opportunities for communities across the country, including North Eastern Kenya.
