Core Values Critical to the University’s Success

“With respect, grace, kindness and more professionalism JKUAT staff can easily achieve their goals and assist the University achieve its key objectives”, Bishop Dr. Silas Yego, the university Ombudsman asserted as he presided over the annual University staff prayer service.
Dr. Yego, urged the JKUAT staff to seek God’s guidance and intervention as they worked to achieve their duties and roles in the university.
Speaking during the service, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victoria Ngumi asked the university staff to continue to foster unity and harmony among themselves, which is one of the admirable characteristics of JKUAT.
The university hosts an annual prayer service for staff organized by the JKUAT’s chaplaincy. This year’s theme being “Ebenezer….The Lord has helped us all the way,”
“I am grateful to lead an institution founded on unity. In the past few years, we experienced tough moments but through working in unison we maneuvered and turned those challenging moments into life lessons,” Prof. Ngumi added said.
While giving her remarks, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC) in charge of Research, Production and Extension (RPE) Prof. Mary Abukutsa echoed the Vice Chancellor’s sentiments and requested staff members to maintain unity and practice patience.
On his part, the university Chaplain Rev. Dr. John Karihe urged the staff members to continue attending the organized prayer services as they pray for the university management, other staff and students too.
