Mombasa: Farmers in the six coastal counties will benefit from improved access to modern agricultural machinery following the launch of the New Holland Agriculture Showroom in Mombasa by Inchcape Kenya. The new Kibarani-based facility will serve farmers and agribusiness stakeholders in Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi, Mombasa, Lamu, and Tana River counties with tractors, combine harvesters, spare parts, and aftersales support.
According to Kenya News Agency, the Coast launch follows the official introduction of New Holland Agriculture’s distribution franchise for Kenya in Nairobi, marking the expansion of agricultural mechanisation efforts in the country. To ease access to equipment, Inchcape Kenya, in partnership with banks, is offering financing of up to 95 percent of the tractor value, payable over 60 months, with one-year free insurance.
Speaking during the launch, Inchcape Kenya Managing Director Marion Gathoga-Mwangi said the company’s focus extends beyond equipment sales to comprehensive farmer support. As the official distributor of New Holland Agriculture in Kenya, Inchcape is now exclusively selling the tractors and combine harvesters. The company also covers distribution, after-sales support, parts availability, field service by their team, and customer education on New Holland Agriculture.
Mwangi added that flexible financing is central to supporting farmers’ productivity across different farming seasons. The company promises continuous support to farmers, whether ploughing, planting, harvesting, or transporting. In collaboration with partner banks, they are offering flexible financing options of up to 95 percent of the tractor value, payable over 60 months with one-year free insurance.
New Holland Vice President for the Middle East and Africa, Vincent De Lassagne, emphasized the partnership with Inchcape Kenya reflects a shared commitment to farmers. He stated that real progress comes through strong partnerships built on trust, shared values, and a common ambition. Inchcape Kenya is considered a true strategic partner that understands local needs and stands close to farmers.
Inchcape Africa Managing Director Francis Agbonlahor expressed that the partnership will advance the agricultural sector by bringing global innovation to local farmers. Inchcape Kenya added New Holland Agriculture to its portfolio in June 2025, as part of efforts to help farmers transition from subsistence to sustainable farming. The company plans to expand to Meru and Nanyuki, as it continues to bridge mechanisation gaps in Kenya’s agriculture sector.
