Buuri MP Involved In Road Accident in Timau

Timau: Buuri Member of Parliament Mugambi Rindikiri was involved in a road accident on Thursday morning along the Timau-Meru road, resulting in minor injuries for the MP.

According to Kenya News Agency, the MP was en route to Meru town for a Presidential function when his vehicle collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota Hiace near Sijar Farm. The collision occurred as Rindikiri’s vehicle was attempting to overtake a lorry, while the Toyota was approaching from the opposite direction.

Buuri Sub County Police Commander Kipkemoi Kipkurui reported that the legislator, along with his driver and bodyguard, escaped with minor injuries and were promptly taken to Nanyuki Cottage Hospital for a checkup. Kipkurui detailed that the MP’s vehicle was overtaking a lorry when it collided with the oncoming vehicle, driven by a lone Catholic nun. All four individuals involved in the accident sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the hospital.

Following initial medical attention, Rindikiri was airlifted to a hospital in Nairobi for further treatment.
