Ouagadougou: Entrepreneurs from the Eastern region of Burkina Faso gathered in the capital to participate in an information and mobilization day aimed at fostering a resilient and dynamic local economy. The event was initiated by the Regional Council of Burkinabe Employers of the East Region (CRPB/Est).
According to Burkina Information Agency, Larba Lankoand©, president of CRPB/Est, emphasized the crucial role of the private sector in enhancing resilience and development in the region. The meeting was designed to serve as a platform for discussion and mobilization among businessmen to boost the Eastern region’s economy.
Held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF), Mr. Lankoand© remarked on the unity, solidarity, and economic focus demonstrated by the attendees, highlighting the region’s cultural potential and natural resources. He urged local entrepreneurs to collaborate for regional economic advancement and commended their efforts amid challenging circumstances.
Dr. Franck Nassouri, patron of the ceremony, noted that the meeting was timely given the social and economic challenges faced by the Eastern region. He stressed the importance of these discussions in identifying obstacles and proposing solutions for a prosperous economy.
Nad¨ge Zongo, representing the President of the National Council of Burkinabe Employers (CNPB), lauded the dedication of economic actors in the region. She emphasized the significance of the meeting in strengthening employer presence and action, advocating for a more locally attuned and effective organization.
Entrepreneurs seized the opportunity to donate 40 tonnes of cement to Faso Mªbo, responding to a call from Head of State Captain Ibrahim Traor© as part of the Faso Mªbo Presidential Initiative.
