WORLD’S CHILDREN DAY

The Kenyan contingent serving under the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo joined local government representatives to mark World’s Children Day at Irumu.
In line with this year’s theme, “Inclusion for every child”, the local chiefs together with the gender and child protection representatives acknowledged the need to let children be the agents of change.
Kenya’s officer commanding, Major Norman Mwiti assured continued support to the local community particularly children who suffer the most during violent conflict.
The event drew participation of children from Basili, Walesi and Kutu territories.
