We Are Ready For The Elections, IEBC Official Says

It is all systems go in readiness for next week’s General Election in Kajiado South Constituency, the Kajiado South Constituency Returning Officer, Lucy Mbithe has said.
Speaking to KNA during the just concluded training of 957 Polling Clerks, Mbithe said training of 315 Presiding Officers and their deputies had also been done.
She further noted the polling staff will be fairly distributed to all the 155 polling stations in the Constituency.
The Returning Officer pointed out the polling staff will collect the election material, which is already in the Constituency, Monday, in preparation for the voting exercise slated for Tuesday.
Mbithe further observed that they have selected the National Cereal and Produce Board premises in the outskirts of Loitoktok town, to be their tallying Centre.
On the campaigns which concluded, Mbithe appreciated all the candidates aspiring for various electoral seats in the Constituency for conducting peaceful and respectful campaigns.
She noted that the aspirants observed their campaign schedules and showed respect for their opponents as they went about soliciting for votes.
Concerning voting day, Mbithe called upon all eligible voters to turn-out in large numbers to exercise their constitutional rights.
The electoral official urged the voters to ensure they carry out the exercise peacefully and also maintain peace after the exercise and as they wait for the results.
