Trans Nzoia Men Volleyball Team Retain Title In The KYSA Games

Trans Nzoia County’s men’s volleyball team has retained its title after winning the just concluded 7th edition of the KYSA games held at Nakeel Secondary School in Kajiado County.
Trans Nzoia edged out Makueni County’s team 3-0 in the finals, showcasing a high level of talent and discipline. The team beat Kakamega County volleyball team 3-2 before qualifying for the semis stage, later on the Trans Nzoia men’s Volleyball team smashed Kwale County 3-0 before proceeding to the finals with Makueni County.
Trans Nzoia Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Technical Director Mr David Lung’au, and the National organizing secretary Mr Ismail Chege, said the team displayed a high level of skills during the inter-counties matches.
The federation is now calling on Trans Nzoia County Government to sponsor the team so that it could be incorporated into the Kenya National volleyball league for the team’s sterling performance in inter- counties games.
“Trans Nzoia volleyball men’s team is beyond inter-county matches. The county government should rethink how the team can be incorporated into the National volleyball league,” said Mr Lung’au.
The week-long tournament held in Kajiado County is said to have brought together over 18 counties with over 3,000 youth aged between 18 and 25 years competing in more than 10 disciplines in the games’ counties whose teams participated in the volleyball game.
