Support CBC Implementation, Citizens Urged

The government has urged the citizenry to fully support the implementation of the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).
Narok County Commissioner Isaac Masinde termed the new education system as a game changer relevant in the current dynamic world.
Speaking when he officially opened government funded CBC classrooms in Transmara West, Masinde urged all stakeholders and the public at large to embrace and support implementation of the CBC system saying that it has wide ranging benefits.
He added that once implemented, the Curriculum will help fully realise the learners’ potential by sharpening skills among learners besides widening scope.
“We urge Kenyans to accept and support the system since it will help address the needs of our developing economy, create more opportunities and produce well refined all round learners,” he said adding that under CBC, the country will no longer have a shortage of experts in almost all the fields.
A total 125 classrooms were funded by the national government in Narok County under CBC enhancement programme, which will help in the anticipated double Form-one intake.
