Nairobi: The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has extended its condolences to Mama Ida Odinga, the Odinga family, the nation, and the global community following the untimely death of former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
According to Kenya News Agency, SRC Chairperson Sammy Chepkwony expressed that Raila will be remembered as a distinguished statesman, notably for his sacrifices in expanding democratic space and advocating for the rule of law.
Chepkwony credited the democratic freedoms enjoyed by Kenyans today to Raila’s relentless efforts, which often came at a significant personal cost.
