PS Isaboke Underscores Govt’s Zeal to Empower Youth

Machongo: Broadcasting and Telecommunication Principal Secretary (PS) Stephen Isaboke has underscored the government’s zeal to empower the youth to become entrepreneurial by adapting to the evolving workplace. Speaking on Saturday during a fundraiser for churches at Machongo grounds in Bomachoge Chache Constituency, Kisii County, Isaboke said the government had put more focus on the installation of the digital superhighway to improve the Information Communication and Technology hubs in the country.

According to Kenya News Agency, Isaboke urged the youth to embrace innovation and adapt to the evolving technology to find jobs through the internet. Urging the youth to support the government agenda, he cited Gucha as one of the areas where an ICT hub was being revamped to meet the youths’ internet needs.

The Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy is one of the pillars of the Kenya Kwanza government under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), whose main objective is to improve the livelihoods and welfare of Kenyans.
