President Ruto Tours Samburu, Inspects Key Projects

Maralal: President William Ruto engaged in a series of activities during his visit to Samburu County, where he was seen interacting with local leaders. The President, alongside Maralal ACK Diocese Bishop David Lebaleiya and Samburu County Governor Lati Lelelit, attended a church service and fundraiser at the ACK All Saints Cathedral in Maralal.

According to Kenya News Agency, following the service, President Ruto, accompanied by Samburu’s top county leadership, proceeded to Baragoi in Samburu North Sub-county. Here, he inaugurated the Baragoi Modern Market and initiated the last-mile electricity connection project, marking significant milestones in the region’s development.

During his two-day visit, President Ruto is set to launch a series of pivotal development projects across Samburu East and Samburu West Sub-counties. These projects include the Samburu East Affordable Housing project at Archers Post, the Yamo Dam and treatment plant in Maralal town, Maralal KMTC, and the Maralal Affordable Housing project. The President will also oversee the launch of the Kisima-Wamba Road and the Maralal-Baragoi road, further enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in the region.
