President Hassan Sheikh holds a fruitful meeting with his Kenyan counterpart President Kenyatta

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, and his Kenyan counterpart, HE Uhuru Kenyatta, held a fruitful meeting at the Kenyan Presidency of regarding the strengthening of relations between the two countries and the future cooperation of the two neighboring peoples of Somalia and Kenya.
The two Presidents agreed to strengthen the security, economic and political cooperation of their countries, and made an agreement to remove the barriers of immigration that resulted from the ambiguity in the relationship between the two countries, and that the Somali citizens have an the opportunity to get the Kenyan visas easier than before with the return of the Kenya Airways flights that will regularly arrive in the country.
Also, President Hassan Sheikh and President Kenyatta agreed to strengthen business cooperation between the two countries, as Somali businessmen have the opportunity to export fish products to from Somalia to Kenya, and the border between Somalia and Kenya will be opened, which is part of the movement of goods and services between the two countries.
The two Presidents decided together that the Joint Committee on Cooperation (JCC) between Somalia and Kenya will meet in Mogadishu in August this year, to shape the cooperation of security, agricultural development, trade, health, education, training and finding solutions for the problems of climate change.
