Narok County governor-elect Patrick Ntutu has extended an olive branch to his competitor to work with him to uplift the living standards of the residents.
Speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony held at his Olopirik home in Narok West Sub County, Ntutu described Moitalel Ole Kenta as a worthy competitor who had a good manifesto for the people of Narok.
Ntutu who was elected on an UDA ticket promised to work with all people in the county regardless of their political affiliation to implement development projects in the county.
“You are all my people and I will work with all of you. I don’t want to hear anyone discriminating people on their political affiliation. I will bring all the leaders on board,” he said.
Ntutu confessed the battle was not easy saying the Kilgoris and County tallying centers were marred with insecurity forcing him to receive his certificate in Nairobi.
“I forgive all those who were against me and I promise I will not take revenge. Instead, I welcome them to work with me to grow the economy of our county,” he said.
Others present were MPs elect for Narok East Ken Aramat (UDA), Narok South Kitilai Ole Ntutu (independent), Narok West Gabriel Tongoyo (UDA), Emurua Dikirr Johana Ngeno (UDA) and Narok women representative elective Rebecca Tonkei(UDA).
In the just concluded elections, Ntutu garnered 158,100 votes against Kenta 148, 250 in the two-horse race.
However, Kenta has refuted the gubernatorial results alleging they were marred with a lot of malpractice promising to take the legal path.
