Kieni School Receive New Desks

Endarasha Primary School in Kieni West Sub-county gets new furniture courtesy of the area Member of Parliament (MP), Njoroge Wainaina. While donating the 120 new desks to be used by the pupils, Monday, Wainaina said during his 2022 campaign he noted that the School lacked enough desks for pupils and that made him visit the School again and offered to donate the desks. He expressed his concern that some pupils had to sit on stones and others made their own simple makeshift desks from the wooden structures in the School. ‘I promised to make 60 desks for four Upper Classes and I also challenged the parents to do some for the lower classes,” said Wainaina. He added that Kieni National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) Committee has already allocated Sh. 1.5million to Endarasha Primary School for Face-lift, to remove the old iron sheets, renovate the walls and put tiles to five classrooms under Labour Based Method and another Sh. 1.5 million, which will be allocated in June to renovate the other 5 Classrooms. ‘We have agreed with the parents that I will do the 10 Classrooms, while they will renovate the Staffroom for the teachers” added Wainaina. He challenged other education stakeholders, particularly the parents and guardians to own and invest in their schools for the betterment of their children’s education. Wanaina said parents must show commitment to the pupils/students and teachers, so that the teachers and the students can give good Results. He also added that he will make deliberate effort to visit all schools and see how they are progressing in terms of education.
