Kericho Residents Can Now Access Quality Medical Services-Nkubiria

In a bid to support the government’s effort in the provision of quality and affordable healthcare, Medical Centres in Kericho County have started to invest in specialized medical equipment and facilities to cater for the growing population with various healthcare needs.

Speaking to Kenya News Agency during the launch of the Bliss Healthcare Centre in Kericho County, the Kericho Assistant County Commissioner Muthoni Nkubiria commended the move by health facilities in the County to improve medical service delivery at the local level.

The Assistant County Commissioner urged residents to seek medical attention within the local medical facilities saying even specialized health services were now available and affordable within the County which is part of the government’s agenda in ensuring Kenyans access quality health services within their localities.

“Kericho residents can now access quality medical services within the County since our health facilities are now improving and availing even specialized services for chronic diseases such as cancer,” added Nkubiria

On his part, the Bliss Healthcare Centre Chief Operations Officer Dr Denis Ogolla said residents will from Monday Next week access doctor’s consultations at the newly commissioned facility for free for one week and also learn more about how they can access other services such as laboratory, pharmacy, dental, optical, radiology and specialist clinics at an affordable fee.

“We have 62 outpatient clinics countrywide equipped with state of-the-art facilities to cater for all medical conditions including cancer which we effectively screen and offer treatment in all our facilities countrywide,” said Dr Ogolla

Dr Ogolla also mentioned that patients can use various insurance funds including the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) to access healthcare services at the new facility located at Green-square mall in Kericho Central Business district.

At the same time, Kericho Bliss Centre Manager Mr Isaac Too urged area residents to seek an early diagnosis for chronic ailments such as cancer within the County since the service is now available at the just-launched health facility.

“We have Chronic Disease Management which is a special program that we have integrated for patients with Diabetes, Hypertension and Cancer diseases where they can access diagnosis and treatment,” added Mr Too.
