Ijara Hospital Operationalises Its Theatre

Ijara Sub County Hospital Theatre is back to life after Garissa Governor Nathif Jama today give it a lease of life when he facilitated availability of oxygen and theatre drugs.
The theatre has not been offering services due to lack of oxygen and essential drugs that were needed to effectively carry out the operation.
Ijara Medical Officer of Health Dr. Abdimalik Ibrahim Shurie said the quick and timely interventions by the governor will go a long way in reducing referrals and saving the resources that will have been used by those accompanying patients for theatre either in Garissa or Hola County hospital.
Dr Ibrahim said in the last two weeks four Cesarean sections were conducted for mothers who were having delivery complications at Ijara sub County hospital.
Residents including patients who require theatre services commended governor Nathif for a good job.
Dr Ibrahim said it was a relief for the patients and their handlers to come for theater service closer to them instead incurring costs due to referral to Garissa County Referral Hospital or Hola County Referral Hospital.
