Girl Body’s Found Wrapped In A Sack In Kitengela

Police in Kitengela, Kajiado County are investigating an incident where the body of an 8-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted Saturday was found wrapped in a sack and dumped near Orata Bridge in Kitengela town.
Passersby discovered the naked body of the girl inside the sack and notified the police who visited the scene immediately.
Shocked residents expressed anger against the inhumane act, adding that cases of insecurity were on the rise in the area in the recent past with muggings occurring as early as 7pm.
They called on the police to investigate the incident and arrest the culprits as well as increase night patrols in Orata and Noonkopir areas.
Sharon Nkata, a resident of Orata said she was shocked by the killing of the innocent school girl and advised parents to monitor their children’s movements at all times.
Another resident Benard Kilonzo urged the police to act fast and stop the frequent mysterious killings and dumping of bodies in the area.
Isinya Sub-County Police Commander Ben Changulo confirmed the incident, saying the victim’s parents had filed a statement to the police about her disappearance following which police launched investigations.
He said the body was moved to Kitengela Sub- County Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem as police pursue the killer(s).
Barely a fortnight ago, the body of a middle-aged man was found dumped at the roadside a few meters from the Kitengela Police Station. The deceased, Daniel Njuguna was a casual laborer at Noonkopir.
His body that had visible injuries on the face suspected to have been inflicted by a blunt object, was found by passersby dumped by the roadside.
